1. Open Google Calendar
This guide will show you how to both set an entire calendar private or make a single event private. First go to calendar.google.com and sign in if needed.
2. Access calendar options
Click the More options (three dots) icon next to the calendar you want to modify.
3. Open calendar settings
Select Settings and sharing from the popup modal.
4. Go to access permissions
Open the Access permissions for events section.
5. Make calendar private
Un-check the Make available to public box to set your entire calendar to private.
6. Return to calendar view
Click the ← back arrow to return to your calendar.
7. Select the event
Click on the event you want to set to private.
8. Edit the event
Click the Edit pencil icon to modify the event.
9. Change visibility settings
Click Default visibility to open the visibility dropdown menu.
10. Set the event to private
Choose Private to set the event visibility to private.
11. Save your changes
Click Save to confirm and update your event.
