How to Create a New Calendar in Google

Learn how to create a new calendar in Google Calendar to organize events by project, team, or category. Follow these quick steps to set one up in seconds.

1. Open Google Calendar and click Add
Go to calendar.google.com, sign in if needed, and click the Add (+) icon next to Other calendars.

2. Select Create new calendar
Click Create new calendar from the dropdown menu.

3. Name your calendar and click Create
Give your new calendar a name and optional description, then click Create calendar to finish.

4. View your new calendar
Your new calendar will now appear in the left sidebar under My calendars.

5. Assign events to your new calendar
When creating a new event, select your new calendar from the Calendar dropdown to assign it.
