1. Open your Google Sheet and select the rows to hide
In Google Sheets, click the number to the left of the row you want to hide (e.g., 5
). To select multiple rows, hold Shift
and click additional row numbers.
2. Right-click the selected row numbers
Once the rows are selected, right-click on one of the row numbers to bring up the context menu.
3. Click Hide row
from the menu
Choose Hide row
to immediately collapse the selected rows. You'll see small up/down arrows between the visible rows indicating hidden content.
4. (Optional) Use the top menu as an alternative
You can also go to View
> Show/Hide rows
, but the right-click method is faster for most use cases.
5. Unhide rows by clicking the arrows or using right-click
Click the small gray arrows between row numbers to unhide rows, or right-click the surrounding rows and select Unhide row
