1. Open your Asana profile settings
Start by opening your Asana profile menu and click on Settings
.
2. Go to the Apps tab
Navigate to the Apps
tab within the Settings window.
3. Connect Slack to Asana
Click Connect
next to Slack to begin integrating your Asana workspace with Slack.
4. Authorize the integration
Click Allow
to grant Slack permission to access your Asana workspace.
5. Open your Slack workspace
Click Open
to switch to your Slack workspace.
6. Link Slack channels to Asana projects
Use the /asana link
command in Slack to connect specific Slack channels to their corresponding Asana projects.
7. Create Asana tasks from Slack
Use the /asana create
command in Slack to start making a new Asana task directly from your chat.
8. Fill out task details and create
Enter the task info in the New Asana task
window, then click Create
to add it to your Asana project.
9. View the task in Asana
Once the task is created, click View task in Asana
to open it in the Asana app.
10. Manage the new task
Your task is now ready for assignees, project linking, subtasks, and other Asana actions.
